Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope you were nice this year and Santa brought you everything you wished for. I’m truly enjoying family, time off from work, and of course sports!

The Denver Broncos have a big game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. The winner of this will have a huge advantage for a first round bye for the playoffs. If the Broncos lose, they may not even win the divisions because the Kansas City Chiefs are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now.

The Colorado Avalanche are playing .500 hockey right now, and the Denver Nuggets are playing very un-inspiring basketball. Thank goodness the Colorado Rockies are in the off season right now so we can’t suffer through their awful baseball. The Air Force Academy Falcons will play in the Armed Forces Bowl against the California Golden Bears in a few days. Colorado College Hockey are nothing to write home about this year, and the Colorado State University Pueblo former National Champions went 9-2 and lost in the quarter finals of the National Championship tournament.

But we still have a lot of high school sports, and regional sports tournaments to enjoy in the area. The holidays are a great time to travel, but they are also a great time to enjoy the holidays cheering on your kids’ sports teams. Colorado Springs is a great city to watch top level youth hockey this time of year, and not to mention all the fun you can have in the mountains. Skiing and snowboarding are great now with all the recent snowfall we have had – and don’t forget the snow shoeing for the non-skiers and shredders.

The weather has been cold enough for the mountains to make snow, and we have had a couple of pretty strong storms in the past few weeks. As a matter of fact, my buddy was super busy towing people out of snow drifts and crashes due to Mother Nature winning the transportation battle. He has a super reliable and economical towing company (SpringsTowing.com) if you even need a tow truck by the way.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the football games this week. I think there will be some pretty good match ups and as much as I don’t like them, I think Alabama will win the next National Champions. I hope the Broncos earn a first round bye for the playoffs, and I hope someone beats the Golden State Warriors again…
